It’s Smoke

Smoke as an abstract art – this is the next in the challenge-series from DesertWingz buddies.
This challenge particularly tests the patience of the photographer’s focusing ability – more certainly
if he/she has no proper torch – like me.

The arrangement and setup is not difficult. A source of smoke set against a dark background,
near a light-source and its rays should hit the smoke at a suitable angle. I used the incense of
Oud mixed with rose odor, made by Swiss Arabian Perfumes. The incense block was burnt over a small
block of blazing coal. The smoke was let to release itself, with no/minimal air interference.

That resulted in a smooth flowing air mixed in sweet incense-odor. I enjoyed this during the shot,
and also after the shot – because of its lasting fragrance throughout my home.
