The Himalayas never fails to amaze me. It generously offers varied and beautiful landscapes,
carpeted with moss-green grasses blooming those little yellow and lavender flowers,
along with the horses that pictorially chirruping in the backdrop of the majestic Mounts.
The whole scene was musically decorated with a gentle wind that embraced its brown soft manes…
or was that breeze -the breath of the Himalayas? I’m in doubt.
It looked like a hundred freakish hands stretched out begging for help—a silent yell for life.
But who will listen? The clouds? or the mountain stream?
Finding joy in paragliding—it’s an attitude that wants to feel the air
away from mountains but near the clouds, is it not?

Dear Indu,
Thanks for the wonderful comment :)
If you plan to travel there, plan it for good climate, because climate makes all the difference there. It was the beginning of its summer in end of July when I visited. It was wonderful.

All exquisite. I think I love the first and second shots the most, partly because of the beautiful horse (first picture) and the sense of comfortable familiarity (the second).
I grew up in western Washington, in towns set right between the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges and with clear views of Mount Rainier, so I have a deep love and appreciation for the incredible magic of mountains and mountain ranges. They are so powerful, so mysterious, and so varied in their character and contents that one could never tire of them!
I even got to see the Mount Saint Helens volcanic explosion in 1980–even though we lived over 125 miles away, the mushroom cloud above it was so huge that we could see it over the end of our street, and we *did* see it because we heard and felt the explosion and ran out of the house to find out what had happened. Mountains are incredible and beautiful! I hope someday I will see the Himalayas!!

Dear Kathryn,
I’m delighted reading your lines here. I see you deeply cherish the mountains—even in their distinct character! Thank you :) Himalayas is a must-visit place!
Your real eruption experience even more amazes me, that being the most notorious natural event in the history of USA. Thanks for sharing that!
