One of the seven wonders of the World. The pride of India. The Taj Mahal.
This beautiful white historical monument regally stands high and bright—since 1648 (i.e. 360+ years passed by now).
Best materials from around the world were imported. Best artisans were brought. Around 20 years of construction…
History says that a thousand elephants also helped building this massive tomb. Imagine a large herd of elephants to
help a demolition construction site!
Built by Emperor of India, His Imperial Majesty Shah Jahan, the Taj Mahal is a pinnacle of Mughal Architecture.
It is a jewel of Muslim art in India. The monument is perfected in art—especially symmetric engineering,
calligraphy and classic Islamic art & architecture. I’m sure, those every white marble bricks would certainly
have stories of time embedded in them! Who knows, maybe the stones secretly tell them to the flirting air
above the river Yamuna, flowing just behind.
My portrayal of this memorial has varied shades… Have a look:
Such beautiful photos :)

I’ve never been to India, unfortunately. Seeing your pictures of the Taj Mahal, I think I have to go as soon as possible.
I like the first two pictures, especially the second, for the composition and colors.

I’m excited by your comment, Paolo :) Thank you…
India would leave an impression you never ever had before. You should come with a less expectant mindset… who knows, you may be the one who stock up the treasures. You can find a bit of ‘everything’ in India. Try that.
Cheers :)

Thank you Nandini :)
Before you visit Agra, I would like you to make a small revision of the history, and make sure you ‘feel’ the Taj Mahal and spend some more time around it. It would become an unforgettable experience.

Oh yeah, I know a lot about it actually, but sure will revise it again. :)
Thank you!
