Hi !  Welcome to my blog… :-)

I’m Firas. This is a simple blog featuring images from my camera – what I saw, and the way I saw it – a collection of wonderful moments and memories – presenting for pure pleasure of your eyes.

For me, photography is sheer joy, and I love hanging around with camera in leisure. I admire nature more than non nature. I adore color more than discolor. And I regard expression over muteness. And sometimes I like to see things in a new light.

I believe there is beauty in plenty, in almost all things around us. Be it the vastness and uniqueness of mother nature, or artifacts of modern era. Take a closer look, and you will not miss to notice the beauty around you. At times we are close, but careless, and miss to acknowledge the little things. But, sometimes we exclaim and wonder in amazement for a second or two – that was the time we really meant it. That was the time we were actually present in it… So pause it, and look…

Having said that, If you felt a picture is worth commenting, do not forget to leave a comment – on this blog, or any other site.

Inspiration

I cannot own the idea of creating a blog about photographs I shot. In fact as I remember now, in 2009 I was carelessly playing with a simple, point-and-shoot camera-Panasonic Lumix DMC FS3, and living with it. Of course, thunderbolt strikes at the right time, and along came the interest in dSLR (digital Single Lens Reflex) cameras, simple reason that it is a bit sophisticated and so, it permitted fine-tuning each shots. That was a big door opened by my coach & mentor Nivin Kadar*, and I knew, that trail led to the adventurous Land of Photography.

In that path I found steady encouragement and cheer from NK, alongside enterprising Henry GL*, which sprout my infant curiosity in photography. Added that with gazillions of photography themed blogs and websites kept my mind in constant eager. In 2010 I bought a dSLR-Nikon D3000 (one for a novice) and never stopped experimenting ever since… And then I began photoblogging. With pleasure.

… The journey has continued…
On the way I had switched to Nikon D7000 in 2013, enjoyed taking more photos – panoramas, HDRs… it slowly gave way to the next upgrade in 2016, and the current gear – Nikon D750. From this era, I had become more conscious of the RAW quality in a full-frame DSLR, and also started to test full-HD videos as well (small time)…

I’ll start posting older photos (shot in Lumix) and slowly slip into images from Nikon.

    I must say, really breathtaking photography. You have gift of an “eye”, and it shows in your compositions. I happen to land on your page because someone told me that you are an inspiration for a budding photographer, and that someone has been your classmate.

    So Firaz, as you see I am a budding photo cum grapher :-), I just request one thing.. which is, can you please post exif details for all your pictures?? Or do you have picasa page as well?, where I can see exif details?
